定冠词the的读音有三个：[Ji:],[Ji]和[J+].作为单词读第一个音[Ji:].在短语或句子中在元音开始的词前读[Ji],如：

定冠词the后面的词以辅音开始,the就读作[J+],如：
the train the long train
字母u是个元音字母,如单词的起始字母是u,读音是[ju:],是以辅音[j]开始,它前面的the就不必读[Ji]而读[J+].如：the USA.
