Trees can help hold soil together and soil absorbs water when it rains. =…and soil takes in water when it rains.
and soil takes in的”takes”为什么要＋S呢?不是只有在第三人称后才＋吗?
可以的话,高手讲解一下第三人称时,谓语动词＋S或＋ES的一些规则
还有就是Cutting down pees causes floods.这个句中cutting为什么要双写加ing,
而make a picture of your mind that you are are amillionaire 中make 不用+ing?

  • 不是第三人称时才加,是主语是单数是就加
    比如 the cat likes playing ball.
    只不过 I 和 YOU 是特殊情况
    谓语动词＋S或＋ES的一些规则
    谓语动词加s或es,要看结尾的字母
    以e结尾的加s,一般的加s
    以ch,sh,x结尾的加es,以y结尾的要变y为i加es
    有些特殊的不按这些规则办,如:have,它的主语是他或她时,变为has.
    cutting为什么要双写加ing,是因为t 前边是原音,而且cutting是动名词做主语
    而make a picture of your mind that you are are amillionaire 中make 不用+ing?
    是因为 make 前边还有主语 make 做谓语成分
