    Peter,John and Mary gonna have a 3P,Mary is preparing and the rest are talking around.

    a man with nice clothes,a Range Rover and the rest...这里的the rest是延伸出来的意思,诸如此类,我说意思是诸如此类!
    解释为休息时不一定要放句末,比如We should have enough rest so that we can deal with the next long long day.
